I made this card using the Martha Stewart doily punch. I kept it blank so it can be sent as a quick note.

Scripture Card

I made this card to send to a lady from our church that is in the nursing home. I kept it simple by just embossing the card and adding the scripture sentiment.

Just Because Card

I was looking through a magazine and saw a lovely black and cream card with red flowers. It was so pretty I decided to make a card using the same color scheme. It was a lot of fun and I like how it turned out!

Spring Scene Card

Awhile back my Aunt and I got together for an afternoon of crafting. We decided to make a card using the same elements with our own twist. We each made a card using a free style fence and clouds. I made a small square card with pastels.
My Aunt made a larger card with a larger and wider fence. I love seeing how we can make a card using the same things and seeing how different they turn out.

Here is the link to her blog.

Color Throwdown #285

This week I decided to make a card using the color throwdown color scheme. This was a tough one for me. The card didn't turn out quite like I wanted it to.

Kraft love

I got together with my Aunt yesterday to make cards and whipped up these little cards in a couple of hours. I am the slowest card maker in the world. I found the idea on pinterest but tweaked it to make it my own style. I love how these turned out and they were really fun!
I used all Kraft card stock. Then I punched out strips with 10 different paper punches, inked them with versamark, layered them, and popped on a flower.

Missing You

I wanted to make a special card for my Mom who lives 15 hours away. She was here for a week long visit and it was hard to see her go. Anyway, thanks to pinterest I found the perfect inspiration. The card is made from a giant dahlia stamp my Aunt had. We made this card together a couple of weeks ago when we were crafting together.
I chose this color because my Mom loves lavender and I wanted something soft and dainty.
Here is a link to the card my Aunt made. I love her cute card!

CAS(E) this Sketch #69

This week I chose to do the CAS(E) this sketch challenge. It worked out great because I needed some thank you cards and had an inspiration for this sketch. I love re-purposing old dictionary pages into card decorations.
 I made two in green.
 And two more in pink.
The last card doesn't match the sketch but I decided to upload it too.

My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge

I used the My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge to get a jump start on Mother's Day Cards. Again I took liberties with the color combinations by omitting the kraft and using cream instead of white. I was hoping for something clean and simple but sophisticated.

My Favorite Things Card Sketch 165

I loosely based my cards on the My Favorite things Card Sketch # 165. I was aiming for a very elegant card. There is no sentiment so it can be used either as a wedding card or a birthday card. I added a large bow on the card above but chose to keep the card below a simpler version.
It was a lot of fun and I absolutely loved working with the velvet paper!

Mojo Monday Sketch 332

Here is my card for the Mojo Monday Sketch 332.
I know the sketch is designed for Valentine's Day but of course I went in a totally different direction with it.
I have been in the mood to make masculine cards so this is what I came up with.
